Yesterday Aug. 20th was the last 'official' day of my show at UCCCA (The Upper Catskill Community Council on the Arts) at the Wilber Mansion in Oneonta, NY. The show ran from Aug. 5th through Aug. 20th. The 20th coincided with the City of the Hills Arts Festival on Main Street. I was in the gallery from 9-1pm to talk to anyone who wanted to talk about art and how beautiful the weather was. Overall it was a good show. The opening was Aug 5th (a Friday), and my most successful day of the duration of the show. Three pieces sold, lots of business cards and price lists were given out and my 2 1/2 year old daughter held it together until the end (almost).
The staff at UCCCA were all very helpful - special thanks to Raina for helping me (or me helping her) install my show. She definitely has an eye for the curatorial part. More thanks to the wonderful people who bought my work. They obviously have a good eye! I hope they enjoy them. And, thanks to my husband for tending to our daughter so I could talk to people.
